Commonwealth Carelink Centres provide a point of contact for carers, older people and professionals to link them to information about care services around Australia.

Figuring out how to access aged care services and what services a person is eligible for can be bewildering and time consuming.

Commonwealth Carelink Centres can give carers information on the wide range of services available to assist people at home. These services include home nursing care, meal services and transport. The services available will vary according to where a person lives.

If you are trying to organise care services for a family member a Commonwealth Carelink Centre can put you in touch with services in your area of choice. You can also access information about hostels and nursing home care.  

Carers can talk to someone in their local area about what services are available, eligibility for government aged care programs and costs of care services.
