The Continence Foundation of Australia

The Continence Foundation of Australia - logoThe Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA) is a not-for-profit organisation which strives to raise awareness of incontinence. It advocates on behalf of those Australians with this health condition, or who are caring for someone with incontinence problems.

The Continence Foundation aims to lessen the stigma attached to incontinence and increase community awareness of bowel and bladder problems.

The Continence Foundation of Australia has branches in each state and territory assisting families, carers and people with incontinence to access information and support to better manage incontinence.

Information about incontinence can be found on the Continence Foundation website www.continence.org.au or by calling the National Continence Helpline on 1800 33 00 66, a free and confidential service which the Foundation manages for the Australian government.

  • The Continence Foundation publishes Bridge Magazine a quarterly consumer focused magazine about the many aspects of bladder and bowel function across all age groups - from childhood bed-wetting right through to aged care issues.
  • Talking about incontinence issues can be embarrassing for many people. The National Continence Helpline is a free advisory service. Callers can speak with a continence nurse adviser who can answer any questions about incontinence and eligibility for funding for purchase of products, or help you find clinical services in your area.
