Elder abuse - What is elder abuse ?

Elder abuse takes many forms. It can happen at home or in residential care. Elder abuse can be obvious physical abuse such as hitting someone or it can be more subtle abuse like intimidation. Neglect of an individual's basic needs and failure to provide adequate medical care can constitute elder abuse.
