Basic daily care fees

Basic daily care fees contribute to the costs of living in an aged care home. Basic daily care fees vary depending on whether the person is a full pensioner, part pensioner or self-funded retiree and the level of care required.

Basic daily care fees are charged according to a pension assessment by Centerlink or the Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA).

An income tested fee is an additional charge for people living in aged care homes who have private income above a certain amount.
