Accreditation Audit

An accreditation audit is conducted by The Aged Care Accreditation and Standards Agency. This onsite audit determines whether an aged care home has met certain standards of care. Audits can be announced or unannounced. Residents, staff and family may be interviewed during an accreditation audit. An aged care home must be accredited to receive government funding.
