Ryde Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT)

Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACAT) assist older people and their carers to find aged care services in their area when they can no longer care for themselves at home alone.

An aged care assessment is required before people can access government funded aged care programs such as Community Aged Care Packages (CACP) and Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH). 

Assessment by ACAT is also needed before you can access residential aged care. ACAT can assist with finding suitable residential care services in your area. An ACAT assessment is free and anyone can contact ACAT or ask your local doctor for a referral.
