Memories shared at Forget-me-Not
Sophie Pieters-Hawke and friends have all seen how dementia not only affects the person with dementia but the whole family. They have got together to help raise awareness about dementia and much needed funds for dementia research.
They have started a website called Forget-me-Not where young people can go and share their stories and precious memories about a loved one living with dementia. It's great to see a younger generation concerned about dementia taking positive action towards breaking down the social stigma attached to a disease that most people their age would dismiss as just something you got when your old.
